This is pure Actionscript done in Flash 6.0. The animation keeps on creating new movieclips and it cant "forget" them. So each one of those lines are editable and this takes a lot of memory. As far as I know this is the only way to do this with flash!

Ive seen a similar thing done in Director and Lingo and that one just went on and on and never got slower. I wish Flash could do that also :)

well there is a removeMovieClip() function. you can fade the movieclips out and when alpha equals zero, delete them.

Exactly. The only way is to delete the movieclips.
