it's funny. at first I thought this was a Lorenz Attractor model. It isn't, but it's still very cool.

The Lorenz attractor is an attractor that arises in a simplified system of equations describing the two-dimensional flow of fluid of uniform depth, with an imposed temperature difference, under gravity, with buoyancy, thermal diffusivity, and kinematic viscosity. It is sometimes called the "butterfly effect", as the path of the attractor usually looks like butterfly wings.

absolutely brilliant. I love it completely.
creating the movement is a bit awkward however, but its still pretty cool I'd love to see some extra effects on it sometime..
